STX France is in charge of the EPCIM contract of the offshore electrical substation of Arkona, one of the largest HVAC offshore substation (385 MW) ever built due for delivery in 2018. The substation will be installed in the Baltic sea in Germany, where is located the offshore wind farm of Arkona. The owner of the farm are E.ON, Statoil and 50hertz.

This giant 385 MW station, which will be one of the largest in the world, will have a topside of more than 4,000 t.
